AE2S Nexus is pleased to announce the 13th annual North Central Utility Rate Survey questionnaire will soon be available. Each year, AE2S Nexus conducts a survey of water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste utility rates throughout the region. Two unique reports are prepared based on community population. One is for communities with populations of 1,000 to 4,999 people and Regional/Rural Water Systems. The second is for communities with populations of 5,000 people or more.
The online survey will be available in January. Last year, online data collection was initiated but non-electronic submittals were also accepted. The same format will be used in 2014. If you completed the 2013 survey online, you will receive an email message reminding you of your login information and inviting you to reset your password if necessary. If participating electronically, once logged in, data from the previous year will be pulled into the new survey to be updated or verified as correct. We hope this will streamline the data entry process. If you wish to participate but prefer not to enter your data online, please send an email message to ratesurvey@ae2s.com or call Corrina Sachno at 701-746-8087 to request a paper copy. The deadline for completing the survey is March 21, 2014.

Many utilities find the results to be a useful planning resource in support of ongoing revenue adequacy, cost of service, and utility rate planning efforts. All survey participants will receive complimentary copies of the 2014 North Central Region Utility Rate Survey in mid-2014.
